Early Years Science Worksheet

Are your students learning about the different things they see in the sky? They may be learning about how things they see during the daytime differ from those they see at night. Teach Starter has created a printable mini-book that you can use with your students when exploring this space science topic.

This downloadable resource includes different activities to help your student recall different objects in the sky. The mini-workbook contains the following:

  • cloze activity covering vocabulary terms related to clouds/stars/the moon/the sun
  • labelling objects in the sky
  • completing a can/have/are chart for different objects in the sky
  • drawing a picture of each object in the sky.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding

A team of dedicated, experienced educators created this resource to support your science lessons.

In addition to individual student work time, use this mini-workbook to enhance learning through guided science groups, whole class lessons or remote learning assignments.

If you have a mixture of above and below-level learners, check out these suggestions for keeping students on track with the concepts:

🆘 Support Struggling Students

Help students who need help understanding the concepts by completing the activity with teacher guidance or encouraging collaboration with a partner. Additionally, provide access to previous assignments, as well as posters and anchor charts for students to recall past lessons.

➕ Challenge Fast Finishers

For students who need an additional challenge, encourage them to draw a landscape with different objects in the sky. Students can label each of the objects in their picture.
