Space Science Vocabulary for Early Years Students

This set of 18 vocabulary cards and accompanying writing worksheets is designed to help students make sense different objects they see in the sky. Some of the vocabulary terms include:

  • Clouds, constellation, day, night
  • Earth, moon, sun
  • Planet, stars, full moon

And more!

Each vocabulary card contains a large-print, easy-to-read word and an image to aid retention. We have also included three accompanying worksheets to have students practise identifying the new vocabulary words and using them in their writing. You can use these as a class display or in a pocket chart center for students to access during writer’s workshop.

Through this activity, students will show increased vocabulary and understanding of different objects found in the sky.
