A worksheet to practise observing the properties of materials used in a range of objects.

Use this worksheet when studying the properties of materials.

Students choose 5 objects from around the room and list 3–5 properties for each object. The properties they list may include size, shape, colour and magnetism. Then they will challenge a classmate to guess the objects based on the properties listed.

It’s a fun way to informally assess your students’ knowledge of the properties of materials and how these properties can influence the way materials are used.
