The worksheet contains five grids, one for each world ocean. Each grid contains six squares. Students must cut out the 30 fact squares provided and paste them into the correct grid. Answers are provided.
Tips for Support and Extension
If you are supporting the needs of a diverse range of learners in your Geography class, you’ll need to differentiate this resource in order to make sure that all students can be successful.
Here are some tips for how you might support and extend students as they engage with this resource:
- Supporting Students – Less-confident students may become overwhelmed by the number of facts that require sorting. Simplify the task by providing only one or two facts for each ocean.
- Extending Students – Have more-confident students use the facts in the worksheet as a starting point for a research project on one of the world’s oceans. The students could present their research to the class via a medium of their choice.
