Create a gorgeous boat-themed odd and even craft display all while showing an understanding of odd and even numbers.
Odd and Even Number Display
This craft template aims to engage students in a fun and educational activity that reinforces the concept of odd and even numbers while promoting creativity and fine motor skills. This fun take on a fishing display has students cutting out fish with either odd or even numbers on them and sticking them on the correct fishing line of either the ‘odd’ boat or the ‘even’ boat.
To differentiate this activity, you may like to get students to write their numbers on the blank fish provided, or you may give them larger numbers to determine if they are odd or even.
✂️ Give Them the (Safety) Scissors
This template makes for a bonus cutting skills activity, depending on your students’ ages and abilities.
With adult supervision, cutting skills help students work multiple muscle groups and their brains, plus:
- strengthen finger and hand muscles
- build dexterity and fine motor skills
- improve hand-eye coordination
- develop focus and attention.
And all of these skills are necessary to use a pencil and a fork; button a shirt and tie shoes; write, type and swipe.
Scissor skills are brain and muscle skills!
