Printable Place Value Charts
This set of simple, yet effective place value charts has been created by a teacher to use in the classroom when exploring place value, the following options are available:

Choose the level of place value understanding that suits your students.
Place Value Chart Activities for the Classroom
- Write a list of numbers on the whiteboard and have students write down the value of each digit in the place value chart.
- Use manipulatives like MABs and have students build numbers using these manipulatives on a large place value chart.
- Provide students with a dice and have the students role and place the digits on the place value chart. Get them to create the largest number possible and then the smallest number possible.
- Provide a list of numbers and ask students to expand them into their place value components. For example – 345 = 300 + 40 + 5. The place value chart is a great tool to help them visualise this expanded form.
