🪐Planet Puzzle Fun!
Explore the furthest reaches of our solar system with a planet puzzle. These puzzles are the perfect classroom activity for students to practice their solar system knowledge! Each puzzle contains 4 pieces, one with a picture of the planet and three with facts about that planet. There are eight puzzles to complete for the following planets:
- Mercury
- Venus
- Earth
- Mars
- Jupiter
- Saturn
- Uranus
- Neptune.
To play, lay out the pieces on the floor or table. Work to find which facts correspond to each planet. Put the puzzle pieces together to make a four-piece puzzle.
Through this activity, students will show they can identify the planets in our solar system and their position in relation to the Sun.

🆘 Support Struggling Students
Help students who need help understanding the concepts by limiting the number of puzzle pieces. Students can work to match two or three pieces together. Additionally, provide access to previous assignments, as well as posters and anchor charts for students to recall past lessons.
➕ Challenge Fast Finishers
For students who need a bit of a challenge, encourage them to research a planet of their choice and write down additional interesting facts.

Print on cardboard for added durability and longevity. Place all pieces in a folder or large envelope for easy access.
Attach velcro to the back of each puzzle piece as well as the blank template guide. This will help the puzzle stay together more easily.
