Engage Students with Interactive Prepositions Questions
If you’re looking for a fun and engaging way to review common prepositions with your young learners, then these digital prepositions questions might be just what you need!
This digital prepositions quiz is a fun and effective way for students to name prepositions using a visual stimulus. Each slide presents a simple prepositions-based image along with three answer choices. Students must select the correct preposition before advancing to the next question.
This resource downloads as a Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides file. To create a paperless lesson on prepositions, project the resource onto your screen and work through the slides as a class.
Fun Variations for These Preposition Questions
This digital resource makes a great lesson warm-up or wrap-up activity when teaching prepositions to your class. You can make the activity even more engaging by experimenting with the options below:
- Beat the Clock – Set a time limit and see how many correct answers students can get in the set amount of time. Alternatively, time the class as they complete the activity, then repeat the quiz to see if they can beat their previous time.
- Team Relay Race – Divide the class into two or more teams. Display each question on the interactive whiteboard, then have one student from each team race to touch the correct answer. The first correct response earns a point for their team.
- Incorrect Preposition Analysis – Instead of selecting the correct answer, challenge students to explain why the incorrect answers don’t fit. Not only does this encourage deeper thinking, but it can also lead to some very funny explanations!
