Perfect for Teaching Characteristics of Matter in Science!
This printable resource is designed to give your students the practise they need to accurately describe and differentiate between observable physical properties of matter featured in different materials. Using this sorting game, students will identify and sort real-world examples of materials into the following categories:
- Strong
- Flexible
- Soft
- Rough
- Absorbent
This resource includes 24 sorting cards featuring different materials and five sorting category cards. To use it, students will lay out the heading cards and sort the materials into the corresponding piles.
We have also included an answer key to make this activity self-checking.
