Bring Science to Life With Interactive Matter Games!

Make your science lessons shine with brand-new, engaging, interactive games and activities from Teach Starter. This year, we’re excited to help you bring your students up to speed and keep them engaged while learning about the states and properties of matter.

A Self-Checking Interactive Properties of Matter Game

This exciting resource was created with your upper-year students in mind. It is designed to introduce them to the world of matter and its observable properties, including those relating to particle size, behaviour, and more.

In this game, students are presented with a question and are required to look at a pair of true/false answer choices to determine the correct answer. This self-checking interactive game then lets students know they are correct by moving them on to the next question in the series. If a student answers a question incorrectly, he or she will be reminded to try again. Some of the statements that students will experience are:

  • True or False? Solids have a fixed shape.
  • True or False? Ice is an example of a liquid.
  • True or False? Gases have very little space between their particles.
  • And more!
