Practise rainbow number facts when solving addition problems involving two-digit numbers with this fun game.
🌈 Rainbow Number Facts for Solving Addition
This game aims to identify numbers that, when added together, make a ‘Zero-Tail’ (a number ending in a zero). Students roll two dice and make a number based on what they roll, e.g., if they roll a 2 and 5 – they can either choose to use 25 or 52; then they need to find a number on the board that, when added to their number will make a zero tail, e.g. for 25 they would pick ‘5’ on their board.
The Power of Rainbow Facts
By delving into rainbow facts practise, children develop a solid foundation and gain valuable strategies to tackle even the most challenging addition problems confidently and quickly. By building your students’ strategy bank with rainbow facts, number bonds, doubles and near doubles, you’re providing them with the building blocks for tackling more complex addition problems.
