Practise number bonds with this fun rainbow-themed hands-on activity.
Fact Families Activity for Kids
Rainbow Facts are two single numbers that come together to total ten (addition only). They are a type of number fact that if students know instantly – will help them solve more complex mathematics problems. They can also be used (combined with an understanding of fact families) to help students solve 1-digit subtraction facts.
Use this bright, fun rainbow-themed matching activity with your students to consolidate their knowledge of number facts to ten. How quickly can they match the clouds with the rainbows?
If your students are starting out with number facts, you might like to look at our Counting On Fact Families worksheet, which clearly helps students understand the process of starting at a larger number and counting on.
