Ideas for Using These “Reading Is Magic” Worksheets

These versatile “Reading Is Magic” resources can be used in many different ways with your students during Book Week 2024! Here are some suggestions from our teacher team:

  1. Learning Stations – Set up different stations around the classroom, each featuring a unique worksheet. Students rotate through the stations in small groups, completing the activities at each one.
  2. Buddy Activities – Pair older students with younger students to work on the worksheets together during Book Week. Older students can assist younger ones with reading and writing activities.
  3. Classroom Competitions – Organise friendly competitions where students complete different worksheets and earn points or rewards for their efforts and creativity. For example: Who can create the most interesting magical character? Who can write the most engaging acrostic poem using the word ‘Magical’?
