Help Your Students Recognise Numbers 0 to 20 With BINGO!

Are you looking for a fun way to help your foundation students recognise the numbers 0 to 20? Look no further than our printable BINGO game. This resource will help your students with number recognition in many forms. They will match the number you call with its equivalent on their BINGO card in:

  • Numeral form
  • Word form
  • Tally marks
  • Base-10 blocks
  • Ten frames
  • Fingers
  • Snap cubes
  • Dominoes
  • Quantities

This game can be played in a whole group or small group setting. It includes 25 unique BINGO cards and calling cards for numbers 0 to 20.

Numbers in Many Forms

Numerous benefits exist in exposing students to many number forms, including:

  1. Developing Number Sense: Understanding number equivalency in various formats helps students grasp what numbers are and how they work.
  2. Enhancing Cognitive Flexibility and Problem-Solving Skills: Exposure to numbers in multiple forms helps children become more flexible thinkers. They learn that different ways to show the same number can be used interchangeably. This skill is important for problem-solving at this stage of development.
  3. Supporting Early Maths Skills: Recognising numbers in multiple forms helps children understand other basic maths skills like counting, comparing amounts, and doing simple maths operations.

Instructions:

  1. Print one BINGO card per student.
  2. Give each student one card and some counters.
  3. Call out a number from the calling cards.
  4. Students find and mark the equivalent representation on their BINGO card.
  5. Four in a row or five in a column wins.
