Recycling is Cool Activity – Recycling Classroom Display

Use this recycling activity with your students on National Recycling Week or when they are learning about the importance of recycling

In this recycling craftivity, students will follow the instructions to create this gorgeous world with the three recycling arrows around the world. They will also complete the sentence starter – We recycle because… and stick this to their recycling craft.

Use this craft to create a display in your classroom or even in a common area in the school to discuss the importance of recycling.

✂️ Give Them the (Safety) Scissors

This template makes for a bonus cutting skills activity, depending on your students’ ages and abilities.

With adult supervision, cutting skills help students work multiple muscle groups and their brains, plus:

  • strengthen finger and hand muscles
  • build dexterity and fine motor skills
  • improve hand-eye coordination
  • develop focus and attention.

And all of these skills are necessary to use a pencil and a fork; button a shirt and tie shoes; write, type and swipe.

Scissor skills are brain and muscle skills!
