Looking for a Reflexive Pronoun Worksheet?

Reflexive pronouns are used to refer back to the subject of a sentence. They often end in ‘self’ or ‘selves’. All personal pronouns have a matching reflexive pronoun.

Help students master reflexive pronouns with this engaging two-page worksheet. Students are required to complete a number of tasks, such as:

  • Completing sentences by choosing the correct reflexive pronoun from the word bank provided.
  • Matching the personal pronouns to the reflexive pronouns.
  • Writing sentences that include reflexive pronouns.

Reflexive pronouns (myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves) can sometimes be tricky to master, but this reflexive pronouns worksheet provides a focused way to reinforce their use in everyday sentences.

This worksheet downloads as an easy-print PDF or editable Google Slides file. Answers are also included in the download.

Differentiate This Reflexive Pronouns Worksheet

If you’re looking for ways to support and extend your students as they engage with this worksheet, we have some ideas for you to consider:

  • Supporting less-confident students – Provide a visual aid, such as an anchor chart, that shows each subject pronoun and its matching reflexive pronoun. This can serve as a handy reference for students who are still getting comfortable with reflexive pronouns.
  • Extending more-confident students – Have students look through their reading books or class texts to find and highlight reflexive pronouns in use. This activity encourages them to notice how reflexive pronouns are used in real-world writing.
