Fill-in-the-Blanks Relative Adverbs Worksheets

Use this set of five worksheets with your students to assist them in developing recognition and correct use of relative adverbs (for why, how, when and where).

Each sheet contains a different activity style in order to reinforce students’ understanding of the use of relative adverbs. The activities include:

  • Fill-in-the-blanks activity – students choose the correct adverbs to place in the piece of text.
  • Underline the relative clause and circle the relative adverb (x2)
  • Does the underlined relative adverb make sense? Check yes or no.
  • Colour in the relative adverb that finishes the sentence.

An answer key is included with your download to make marking fast and easy!
