Multiple Representations, Multiple Uses
This versatile resource can be used in many ways. Here are a few of our favourite ideas!
- Memory Game – Mix the cards up face-down and have your students play a memory matching game with a few of the numbers.
- Go Fish! – Shuffle the cards and deal them equally to 2 – 4 players for a number representation version of a favourite card game.
- Top-it Game – Cards are dealt equally to players. Students flip over their top card and the student with the highest amount takes the hand.
- Number Hunt – Hide cards around the room and give each student a number card. Students hunt to find all the representations of their number.
- Number Sort – Pairs or groups of students sort the cards into stacks representing the same number.
