An Engaging “Cut-and-Paste” Rounding Large Numbers Worksheet Set
Looking for a hands-on way for your students to practise rounding whole numbers? With our differentiated rounding large numbers worksheet set, you have found it! Students will enjoy cutting out numbers and then sorting and pasting them based on the benchmark number they will round to.
This set includes three unique worksheets:
- Rounding numbers in the thousands to the nearest thousand
- Rounding numbers in the hundred thousands to the nearest ten thousand
- Rounding numbers in the hundred thousands to the nearest hundred thousand
An answer key for each worksheet is also provided. This rounding large numbers worksheet set works well as an independent practise, maths station, or guided group activity.
Using These Rounding Numbers Worksheets
Our rounding numbers worksheets are easy to download and use. All you need is a few supplies and your students will be learning in no time!
Instructions:
- Download the resource and choose which worksheet you would like your students to complete.
- Ask students to gather a pencil, scissors and glue.
- Give each student the worksheet and matching number set of your choice.
- Tell students to first cut out all the number cards.
- Ask students to sort the cards based on the number they will round to.
- Once students are finished sorting, have them use the answer key to check their answers.
- When they know they are correct, students can glue all the numbers in the correct spot.
