Sentence Writing Prompts
Sometimes, students struggle to develop an idea for a sentence or revert to the same old sentence they wrote yesterday. These sentence starter strips aim to promote variety in your students’ writing, providing them with a starting word and a small visual prompt to get the ball rolling.
Writing Scrapbook Activities
These sentence strips create a perfect literacy groups activity. Students choose a strip, write their sentence and then stick it in their writing scrapbook. They can then draw a picture of what is happening in their sentence on the rest of the page.
Assist less-capable students by scribing the sentence they verbalise on the strip and allow them to draw a picture.
