Are you looking for a fun activity to consolidate your students’ knowledge of 2D shapes and 3D objects? This St. Patricks Day-themed sorting activity will get your kids excited to show you what they know!
In this activity, students will look at images of 2D shapes and 3D objects and sort them based on their type.
No-Prep-Sorting Shapes Activity!
This 2d and 3D sort could be used as a small group activity since it involves cards and sorting mats. It has been designed for independent practice but can also be done with assigned partners.
Before matching, students will lay out the two sorting mats. Then, they will look at the shapes featured on each card and determine which pot of gold their shape should go on.
