Differentiating Between Symmetrical and Asymetrical Shapes

This simple but fun single-page worksheet requires students to first identify the symmetry of each shape by drawing lines of symmetry in, before using a colour-coding system to mark whether a shape does or does not have symmetry.

Through completion of this activity, students will show their ability to differentiate between symmetrical and asymmetrical (non-symmetrical) shapes.

An answer key is included with your download to make marking fast and easy!

In addition to individual student work time, use this worksheet as a:

  • Maths rotation or guided group
