Sound Energy Sources Sorting Activity

Use this quick and easy cut-and-paste worksheet to check your students’ ability to differentiate between everyday objects which are and are not sound energy sources.

Throughout this activity, students will cut out illustrations of objects and paste them into groups, indicating whether or not the object creates sound energy.

The download contains two levels of the same worksheet; one with pictures only, and one with the name of the object shown. This worksheet download also includes an answer key for easy marking or student self-assessment.

Distribute one copy of either the labelled or unlabelled object sheets, and one copy of the sorting table sheet.  You may choose to model answering the first example, or have the students complete the tasks individually.

So simply print your file and go! This no-fuss approach ensures easy integration into lesson plans without the need for additional preparation.
