Discuss the importance of kindness and explore why we should ‘stick with kindness’ with this writing and craft activity.
Let’s Stick with Kindness this World Kindness Day
Use this gorgeous cactus-themed writing activity on World Kindness Day. Students complete the following sentence starter, ‘I stick with kindness because…’ and then decorate and colour the rest of the template and stick it all together. This will create the most beautiful classroom display for World Kindness Day.
What is World Kindness Day?
World Kindness Day is a designated day to pause and consciously reflect on times when we have been shown kindness and think about ways in which we can treat others kindly. Check out our other kindness activities for World Kindness Day.

✂️ Give Them the (Safety) Scissors
This template makes for a bonus cutting skills activity, depending on your students’ ages and abilities.
With adult supervision, cutting skills help students work multiple muscle groups and their brains, plus:
- strengthen finger and hand muscles
- build dexterity and fine motor skills
- improve hand-eye coordination
- develop focus and attention.
And all of these skills are necessary to use a pencil and a fork; button a shirt and tie shoes; write, type and swipe.
Scissor skills are brain and muscle skills!
