Teach your little learners about the various types of story characters with this fun-sized mini-book.
A Mini-Book Just for Story Characters!
One of the first narrative elements we teach to our littlest learners is characters. Characters can be animals, people, non-living things and make-believe creatures. Characters can talk, have thoughts and have feelings. Objects or things that do not talk, have thoughts or have feelings are not characters.
This mini-book has been designed to familiarise your students with the different types of characters found in stories. It addresses the following content:
- What is a character?
- Who is the main character?
- People
- Animals
- Non-Living Things
- Make-Believe Creatures
A student activity is also included at the end of the mini-book. Students are required to:
- Read the story.
- Circle the character’s name.
- Draw and write who the character is.
