Mastering the Art of Retelling – Digital Resource for Students

Retelling is a fundamental skill that students need to develop to become proficient readers and effective communicators. Being able to summarise and recount the main elements of a story or text not only aids in comprehension but also supports language development.

How to Use this Digital Retelling Activity

This collection of digital retell graphic organisers is the perfect addition to your lesson planning for retelling stories. Once you have opened up either the Google Slide or PowerPoint you’ll want ot make a copy and use the slides in edit mode, this allows your students to type in the chosen layout for their retell. 

Once they have completed their retell, you might like to get them to download it as a PDF and print it out to get it displayed in the classroom. They can also be kept in their student profile as progress reports as to how they are going with their retell knowledge.
