Discover Remembrance Day Symbols with Pennant Banners

Want to do something thoughtful and creative with your students on Remembrance Day? How about something quick and easy to go along with that read-aloud to help teach your students about Remembrance Day symbols? Your students will love something new and different, and they’re sure to create some fantastic classroom decor on the symbols seen on November 11th.

This simple and easy-to-use Remembrance Day worksheet allows your students to research and write about a Remembrance Day symbol and explain what it represents and how it is used on Remembrance Day. You could also use these projects to inspire them to learn more about the brave contributions of these heroes and the sacrifices they made to keep them safe.

More Ways to Use Your Remembrance Day Templates

The beautiful thing about these banners is that you can use the completed projects in many ways. You don’t have to stay within the traditional ‘fill-it-in-and-send-it-home’ box. Try some of these ideas instead!

  • Create a Hallway Display: Hang your banners on your outside bulletin board and share your students’ hard work with the whole school!
  • Create a Remembrance Day Bunting- Cut a section of twine or string to length and tape it to the backside of the banners. Hang the bunting across your classroom or hallway for a commemorative display.
