Playing Our Ordering Numbers to 10 Game

Instructions:

  1. Remove the face cards from the deck of cards, except the ace, which will be the number 1.
  2. Shuffle and place the deck of cards face-down between students.
  3. The first player picks up a card from the top of the pile and decides where it would best fit on their train. For example, if they picked up a number 9 card, it is one of the largest numbers, so the player may choose to put it on the last carriage in the train.
  4. The next player then picks up a card and decides where to place it on THEIR train. If students ever cannot place a card since it would violate the rule that the cards must be in order from least to greatest, they forfeit that turn.
  5. Play continues. The winner is the first person to fill their train with cards, with the numbers going from least to greatest.
