Let’s Talk About Trees! And Observe Them Too!

This year, when you teach your students about plants and animals, make sure to get them outside. There’s nothing like a real-world experience to help solidify primary school science concepts. We’re here to help you inspire your group of little botanists to observe, report, and admire the largest plants around them…trees!

This downloadable resource is the perfect way to get your students thinking about the features, uses, and differences between trees in their environment. With this activity, your students are encouraged to observe a tree nearby and report what they find using a graphic organiser. We’ve included three differentiated versions marked with stars to meet the varying needs of your students.

Worksheets included are:

⭐ Early Years – Draw and Write Activity with Fill-in-the-Blank, Basic Observations

⭐⭐ Intermediate – Draw and Write, Finish the Statement, More detailed observations

⭐⭐⭐ Upper Years – Draw, Write, Short Answer Response

No-Prep Living and Nonliving Things Activities
