Enhancing Your Tropical Classroom Decor

If you are ready to flamin-GO, believe us, tou-CAN do it! In addition to using the pieces in this tropical classroom decor bundle, here are some ideas to help you bring this look together.

Tropical Group Names – Give on-theme names to guided groups. Here are some ideas!

  • Coconuts
  • Flamingos
  • Toucans
  • Palm Trees
  • Flowers

Revitalise Your Reading Corner – Add a large flamingo or toucan plush, paper palm trees and twinkling lights. Use tropical rugs or cushions with palm leaf or floral patterns.

Incorporate the Palette – Work the bright pink and green colours of this bundle into all the parts of your classroom, including curtains, rugs, desk decorations, bulletin board backgrounds and more!

Student Work Display – Feature excellent student work on a jungle background. Use flamingo and toucan cutouts to hold up the papers or attach them to tropical leaves. Title this area ‘Our Flock’s Finest.’

Tropical Themed Classroom Bulletin Board Ideas

Design a fun and inviting ‘Welcome’ bulletin board to greet your new students and set the tone for your tropical theme classroom. Here are some ideas using playful slogans and decorations!

  • ‘Welcome to Our Flock!’  Decorate the board with pink flamingos and colourful toucans featuring students’ names. Add large green palm leaves, tropical flowers, and a sunny background.
  • ‘Let’s Flamingle in 4th Year!’  Place flamingos standing together in a lush jungle scene, labelled with student names. Scatter coconuts, flowers, or tropical plants throughout.
  • ‘Welcome to the Tropi-COOL Crew!’  Create a cool tropical scene with flamingos and toucans in sunglasses and leis, surrounded by tropical plants and smoothies. Label the birds with student names.
  • ‘Tou-can Do Great Things!’  Decorate with toucans perched on large tropical branches. Write students’ names on the colourful feathers or beaks of the toucans and finish the look by adding a sky-blue background and some sunshine.
