Teaching the Decimal Number Line Made Easy!

Introducing the ultimate teaching tool for maths teachers – a Google Slides presentation that covers the decimal number line, including visual models, number lines, and mathematical reasoning.

This presentation contains 17 slides filled with colourful illustrations, easy-to-follow examples, and engaging activities that will keep your students interested and motivated.

The teacher should guide the class or group through the presentation when using this instructional slide deck. There are several opportunities for student discussion, interaction with the slide deck, and more. There are also slides with tasks for students to complete for practise. After completion of the presentation, the slides can be posted online or printed out for students to reference later.

This resource is intended for use as a teaching presentation about identifying and locating decimals on a number line.

Before You Download Your Decimals on a Number Line Slide Deck

This presentation is designed to run primarily in slide show mode. However, slides 8 and 9 are interactive slides that require students to be able to interact with elements on the slide. Therefore, when you get to these two slides, switch to edit mode by pressing the escape key on your keyboard. When complete, you can re-enter presentation mode.

You’re just a click away from getting your new resources! Use the dropdown arrow on the Download button to select the Editable Google Slides resource file or the PowerPoint resource file.
