Provide students with additional verb tense practice with a past, present, and future tense worksheet.
No-Prep Verb Tense Worksheets
This worksheet is best used as independent practise after a verb tense lesson. Through this verb tense activity, students will practice identifying and using frequently occurring verbs to convey a sense of past, present, and future.
This verb tense worksheets includes ten practise questions. For each question, students will identify and circle the action verb in the sentence. They will then write whether that verb is past, present, or future tense.
An answer key is included with your download to make grading fast and easy!
Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding
For struggling readers and writers, try the following differentiation ideas:
- Provide a verb tense anchor chart or other reference materials for students to refer to during independent practice.
- Complete the activity in a 1:1 setting, or provide small-group instruction.
- Partner struggling readers with other students to assist in the reading component of the activity.
