Sort verbs according to if they are friendly or unfriendly interactions with this friendship worksheet.
Friendship Worksheets
Are your students able to recognise the difference between friendly and unfriendly interactions? At any point in the year, it can be helpful to review with your class appropriate ways to communicate and play with their peers.
Teach Starter has created a printable worksheet to help your students differentiate between friendly and unfriendly actions. There are two different versions, each with slight variations. Some of the words that your students will sort include:
- share
- hit
- yell
- ignore
- comfort
- support.
Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding
In addition to independent student work time, use this worksheet as an activity for:
- Lesson warm-up
- Lesson wrap-up
- Fast finishers
- Homework assignment
- Whole-class review (via smartboard)
Allow students to write a short sentence using the word and draw a matching picture using the differentiated worksheet with regular writing lines.
Allow students to work on the writing worksheet with primary lines. Review each of the vocabulary terms with the student to ensure they understand the meaning of each.
