Who Was Margaret Thatcher?
Margaret Thatcher was a British politician who served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990. She was the first woman to hold the position of Prime Minister in the UK.
During her time in office, Thatcher implemented many changes in the country’s economy and government policies. She believed in free-market capitalism, which meant that businesses should be able to operate with very little government intervention. Thatcher also believed in reducing government spending and lowering taxes.
