Compare and Order Decimals the Thousandths

Are you teaching students how to order and compare decimals to the thousandths place? Elevate your students’ decimal proficiency with our one-page decimal place value worksheet. This concise and focused resource provides targeted practice for the following essential skills:

  1. Compare Decimals – Sharpen your students’ understanding of the relative magnitude of decimals. Challenge them to use the symbols <, > or = to accurately compare pairs of decimals. This foundational skill lays the groundwork for more complex mathematical concepts.
  2. Ascending Order – Take the next step in decimal mastery by requiring students to arrange a set of decimals in ascending order. This exercise not only reinforces the concept of place value but also enhances their ability to organise numerical information.
  3. Descending Order – Strengthen critical thinking skills as students tackle the task of arranging decimals in descending order. This challenging activity encourages a deeper understanding of numerical relationships and sequencing.
