Teach your students about the continents and countries of the world with this black-and-white world map.
A Map of the World with Countries
Are you venturing on an adventure into World Geography with your students? Well, they will need to become familiar with the world’s continents and countries!
This labelled, black-and-white map of the world enables your students to become more familiar with the seven continents and approximately 195 countries that comprise our great planet.
Multiple Uses for This Map of the World’s Countries
This map of the world with labelled countries makes a great asset to your Geography lessons and can be used in a multitude of ways in your classroom. Here are some suggestions:
Explore the location of the world’s countries as a whole-class activity
This versatile map of the world’s countries can be projected onto your interactive whiteboard for a paperless lesson or class review session. Have students take turns coming to the board to point out specific countries of interest. As an added challenge, why not ask your students to name the continent on which the chosen country is located?
Reinforce mapping skills through colour-coding
Provide students with their own printed copy of the world map. Have the students colour-code the countries based on specific criteria, then create a legend to explain the meaning of the colours. For example, why not get your students to colour-code the map according to:
- population
- language spoken
- climate
- average life expectancy
- education levels
- student ancestry
- and much more!

Hey Maya, thank you for reaching out to us. We do have a more basic blank world map which would work perfectly for biomes. You can find the resource by clicking this link. https://www.teachstarter.com/au/teaching-resource/map-world-template/
