Christmas Writing Activities for Early Years Classrooms

Are you looking for a fun and engaging way to bring Christmas into the classroom and help your students become better writers? This packet is exactly what you need!

Students will practice reading, writing and constructing a simple sentence to develop their beginning writing skills. It’s perfect for small group instruction or whole group writing instruction!

In this set, you’ll find 5 different sentence builders about Christmas for a total of 5 pages. Students will read the sentence, draw it, write it, then build the sentence by cutting and pasting the words in the correct order. It may be helpful to do several interactive lessons together with students and model the steps several times before letting them complete independently!

These sentence builders are perfect to use in your guided small groups, writer’s workshop, early finishers, morning work or whole-group writing instruction.
