Get to know your students by name while they show you their phonics skills with this back-to-school worksheet.
What’s in a Name?
A lot, actually! There are consonants, vowels, syllables… the list goes on and on. 😂 But on a serious note, names are a fundamental part of a person’s identity. They distinguish one individual from another, providing a unique label that helps to define and recognise each person in this crazy world. Not to mention it is one of the first things we learn about someone.
Great First Day of School Activity
Use this back-to-school worksheet not only as a way to learn your students’ names, but also a way for them to showcase their handwriting and phonics skills. Students will write their name and count the number of consonants, vowels and syllables within it. Then they will write the consonants and vowels that are in their name.
