A set of 11 task cards alphabetising a series of words to the first letter.

Students will read a set of 8 words and place them in alphabetical order. This set specifically focuses on alphabetising by the first letter in each word.

Print out the task cards on thick card and cut along the dotted lines. Store in a resealable bag to be used again and again. To save on paper, place the recording sheet in a write and wipe sleeve and have your students use a whiteboard marker and wipe clean when done. They could also record their answers in their workbooks.

This resource would be a great option for a reading group rotation or a task during spelling lessons.

The download includes 11 task cards, a recording sheet and an answer key.
