A 48-slide editable PowerPoint template exploring the famous artists and signature artistic techniques of the Renaissance.

Society in fifteenth-century Italy had reached political stability, and sophistication bloomed. It was time for art to focus on ordinary people and to celebrate individuality. A cultural explosion in Florence brought forth a brand-new art movement known as the Renaissance. For the next 150 years, Renaissance artists were society’s rock stars!

Use this teaching presentation to introduce your students to the artistic movement known as the Renaissance. The presentation explains key techniques used by Renaissance artists, such as proportion, foreshortening, sfumato and chiaroscuro. It also explores the works of some of the period’s most famous artists, including Leonardo da Vinci, Sandro Botticelli, Raphael and Michelangelo.

Images of Renaissance artworks are included in the presentation.
