A Happy Birthday Certificate for Primary School Students

Birthdays are very special celebrations… especially for children!

Celebrating birthdays in the classroom can be a highly effective way of building a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Acknowledging each student’s birthday fosters a sense of belonging and shows them that they are valued members of the class.

To help you show your students they are special on their birthday, Teach Starter has created a Happy Birthday certificate perfect for primary-aged students. Designed with cheerful colours and a fun layout, this certificate will make every student feel like royalty on their big day.

This Happy Birthday certificate downloads in three file formats:

  • Easy-print PDF
  • Editable Google Slides file
  • Editable PowerPoint file

Use the dropdown menu on the Download button to choose your preferred version.

Easy Ways to Celebrate Birthdays in Your Classroom

Celebrating your students’ birthdays in the classroom doesn’t have to be an onerous task! In fact, the simplest ideas will often make a big impact on your students. Here are some small gestures that pack a big punch when it comes to celebrating students’ birthdays in your classroom:

  • Birthday Song – Start the day by singing a cheerful birthday song to the student. It’s a simple yet joyful way to kick off their day of celebration.
  • Special Seat – Let the birthday student sit in a special chair or wear a birthday crown for the day. This small gesture makes them feel extra special.
  • Choose an Activity – Allow the birthday student to choose an activity for the whole class to participate in. This could be anything from playing their favourite learning game to reading their favourite story.
  • Birthday Treats – If your school allows it, let the birthday student bring in a treat to share with the class. Alternatively, you could provide a small, non-food treat like stickers or a special pencil.
