A STEM challenge suitable for students in the early years.

Use this STEM challenge to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving in a design technology context.

Students design and construct a pirate ship that floats. It enables students to use a variety of materials in order to solve the design challenge.

The teaching resource contains a task card that outlines the challenge and a worksheet for recording the materials used and for drawing a diagram of the ship.

Full colour, low colour and black and white versions are available.
