5 Ways to Decorate With Your Free Butterfly Templates

Do you need some inspiration to get your door started? Our teacher team has put together a list of creative butterfly-themed puns to get you started with your door decorating!

  1. Spread Your Wings and Fly — This is just about as easy as it gets when it comes to door decorations. Add the words to your door, mount the butterflies, and you’re all set!
  2. Spread Your Wings and Read — Do you teach English, or are you a school librarian? Take the door idea above one step further by adding a reading twist to your spring classroom door decorations. Print out an open book to place near the bottom of the door, then scatter your butterflies on the door in a vertical format so it appears they’re flying out of the book!
  3. Your Wings Exist. All You Have to Do Is Fly. — This spring door idea is perfect for the door to your counselling or guidance office.
  4. If Nothing Ever Changed, There Would Be No Butterflies — Big changes are hard, especially for little people, but this door is a gentle reminder that beautiful things can come from them. Why not challenge students to write a positive statement about change on a caterpillar template, then post it on your door?
  5. Just When the Caterpillar Thought It Was Over, It Became a Butterfly — Another simple door idea, this one can be paired with a caterpillar art activity to show off your students’ hard work and display how much they’ve grown!
