What is Chinese New Year?

Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival or Lunar New Year, is the most important traditional Chinese festival. It marks the beginning of the Chinese lunar calendar and usually falls between January 21 and February 20, depending on the lunar calendar. The celebration lasts for 15 days, culminating in the Lantern Festival.
