Teach classroom rules and practise writing skills with Classroom Rule Writing Worksheets for early years.
Jump into Writing with Classroom Rule Worksheets
Using a writing activity at the beginning of the school year to review rules with a new class of pupils can be an effective and engaging strategy for several important reasons:
- Active Engagement – pupils actively participate instead of passively listening to their teacher explain the rules.
- Memory Retention – pupils are more likely to remember the information they write down.
- Assessment of Prior Knowledge – reveal what pupils already know about sentence and paragraph formation.
Each worksheet in this resource provides the student with beginning writing practice surrounding the topic of Classroom Rules. Each worksheet has students completing the following.
- Cut, rearrange, and paste words to form a sentence.
- Write the sentence.
- Draw a picture to show what that rule looks like in the classroom.
The resource includes three writing prompts for early writers covering different aspects of classroom rules. Print the sheet you need, and you’re off to a fantastic writing start!
