A compound word matching game with 40 cards that create 20 compound words.
Use this fun matching game with your students when learning to use base words to decode common compound words.
Print out the game cards on thick card and cut them out. Keep them in a resealable bag to be used again and again.
This game is played with 2–4 players. Player 1 flips over two cards. They read the word on each card to determine if they can be combined to create a compound word.
For each compound word they create, they get a point.
A complete set of directions and an answer key is included in the download.
