Get to know your new class at the beginning of the year with this Fishing to Know You activity.
Getting to Know You Games
This game is perfect for the first week of school when you and your pupils get to know each other. The beginning of the school year is all about team building, classroom culture, routines and expectations. So it’s time to stock up on getting-to-know-you games and activities!
For this activity, you need a copy of the resource and a container for the question cards. It would be fun to get a cheap fishbowl to be on theme, but definitely not necessary!
- Add the ‘Fishing to Know You’ label to the side of the container.
- Place the questions inside.
- Let the activity begin! Pupils will go fishing for a question to answer in front of the class. 🐟🐠🎣
Use it as part of an icebreaker activity, getting your pupils comfortable being out the front of the class from the get-go!
We have a lot more activities like this that are sure to make you go 🤩 !
