Start the New Year With Goals and Resolutions for Children
Kicking off a new school year or a brand-new year? Print the template you’ll need to help your pupils identify the small aspects of a task that will contribute to the final end product.
Themed around an iceberg, this free PDF template was created by the teachers of Teach Starter to help pupils be more accountable for their own goal setting.
Here’s how it works:
- The main goal will form the tip of the iceberg on the printable template. This is the goal that others will see once the task is finished.
- Pupils then write the smaller tasks they will need to complete/keep in mind to help them achieve the main goal. These smaller parts might not be explicitly visible to others but will contribute to the main goal.
- Finally, pupils fold the template on the waterline and stick it into their workbooks or journals. When the page is unfolded, the tip of the iceberg can be seen while working on their task.
