Students read the three informative texts provided and underline the informative language features. These include:
- subject-specific vocabulary
- the verbs ‘to be’ and ‘to have’
- adjectives
- comparative language
- time connectives
- phrases showing cause and effect.
The texts included are:
- The Great Barrier Reef
- Tropical Cyclones
- The Giant Squid.
Suggested answers for teachers are also provided.
