A set of posters showing idioms and their meaning.

Idiom posters include:

Hold your horses – To hold on or wait.

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket – To make everything dependent on only one thing.

The icing on the cake – Something which makes a good situation even better.

Barking up the wrong tree – Looking in the wrong place.

All ears – Listening intently; fully focused.

All thumbs – To be clumsy or awkward.

Raining cats and dogs – To rain heavily; a great amount.

Not my cup of tea – Not your choice or preference.

A piece of cake – A job, task or other activity that is pleasant.

Two heads are better than one – Two people working together have a better chance of solving a problem than one working alone.
